Our First Storefront is Coming to Bloomington, Illinois

It is hard to believe that we opened our online store just eight months ago in June 2022. In the time since, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received.

Since the start, we’ve stated our intentions to have multiple retail locations throughout the United States. Today, we’re announcing our first such location.

Expanding on our Central Illinois Home

We’ve called Bloomington, Illinois home for our US operations, and we will now call Bloomington home to our first retail storefront in the US.

We’re looking forward to getting more involved with the disc golf scene in Central Illinois and bringing a top-tier disc golf retail experience to the area. There has been a lot of local change lately, and we’re excited to help those in the area with all their disc golf needs.

Ledgestone Open, Am Worlds, Junior Worlds

The popular Ledgestone Open along with this year’s PDGA Amateur World Championships and Junior World Championships are held just a short drive from our store. We're planning many great events for later in the year, when disc golfers from around the country and around the world head to the Peoria/Pekin, Illinois area.

If you’re one of those making plans to play one of those events, be sure to carve out some time for a trip to Powergrip.

Current Timeline and Plans

Construction is starting this week, and we hope to be open by the end of February, with a Grand Opening in March. We'll begin to transition a portion of inventory from our online store to the retail space in the coming weeks.

We've also heard from many across the country expressing interest in opening up a Powergrip location near them. Our current focus is on this first retail space and will continue to keep our options open for the future.
